The TXG Ultimate Summer Equipment Round Up: TaylorMade

TaylorMade P790, P790 TI, P790 UDI

P790 irons pack powerful performance into a clean, classic design to deliver breakthrough distance in a player’s iron. With a combination of forged construction and TaylorMade’s proprietary low-density SpeedFoam, golfers will experience feel, forgiveness and workability.

TaylorMade Milled Grind 2/Hi-Toe Wedge

The Milled Grind 2 wedges combine the precision shaping of the original Milled Grind wedge with technology designed to enhance spin. The key new feature is a raw face, which creates optimal spin to help develop precision wedge play. The wedges continue to utilize the CNC milling technology, allowing for much more precise results.

The newest addition to the Hi-Toe family is designed for maximum forgiveness. While traditional sand wedges have a sole that is about 26 milimeters wide, the sole of the Big Foot Hi-Toe wedge is a whopping 32. It has an asymmetric C-Grind and 15 degrees of bounce. When golfers open the face in a greenside bunker, they not only get the advantage of the Hi-Toe’s extra hitting area, but also a blunt leading edge to prevent digging.

TaylorMade Patina Putter

TaylorMade TP Patina putter collection offers seven options for the everyday golfer. A follow-up to the 2018 TP Black Copper collection, the TP lineup utilizes the same thicker face insert with screws tightening the soft aluminum insert to eliminate voids between the body of the putter and the insert for a more solid feel. The face also features PureRoll groove technology, creating a 45-degree downward angle to reduce backspin on the initial launch of a putt.
